Today I want to share some tips with you guys so you can get the beautiful, healthy complexion you deserve! I have tried several things through the years and I have found things that completely work, and things that work WONDERS.


Night and morning! This is so important. Washing your face night and morning is crucial for getting any makeup residue or oil on your face. It is so so so important to never leave your makeup on before you go to sleep. Even if you are centimeters away from la la land, and you feel yourself nodding away, WAKE UP. Take your makeup off right NOW and wash your face! You will thank me later. Washing your face in the morning as well will remove any oil buildup, and will help give you a refreshed look before you start the day.



This is also major. Exfoliating every few days or at least once a week will clear away any dead skin and it will make your skin so soft and smooth. I recently came across thDSC_0123is face scrub by Beauty by Earth and I’m in love with it! It is extremely grainy, so you can just feel your skin getting softer while using it. It is dark green so you can keep track of spots you may have missed and it smells amazing. It has a really minty scent so your skin feels so refreshed after using it. After I exfoliated the other day, I could not believe how smooth my skin felt. You can find this HERE.



You know how you want your face to be tight during a facial? That concept does NOT apply after washing your face. Moisturizing your face is just as important as washing your face! Even if you are prone to oily skin, MOISTURIZING IS STILL A MUST. Just tell yourself this: If you don’t moisturize, your skin DIES. 😉

TDSC_0149he concept of toner has always amazed me! You can literally put it on your face and it will make your skin tone even! But I always feel like I look everywhere for it and can never find anything that works! I found one by the same company listed above, Beauty by Earth, and it is FAB. You can SPRAY it onto your face, so you don’t need to rub it in or anything! It sprays on quite nicely, leaving you a moisturized, even glow. I would recommend it to anyone who has uneven skin tones like I do! You can find it HERE.



You know what wrinkles/ sun spots are, right? Thankfully, sun spots are in right now, but even the cutest of freckles are signs of SKIN DAMAGE. A few may look cute, but you will only get more as you grow older. Sunscreen AND spf in your moisturizer or foundation will prevent your skin from aging and will allow you to hold onto your skin’s youth! I have become a freak about putting loads and loads of sunscreen on my face whenever I am in the sun, and I know my 30, 40, and 50 year old self will thank me later for it!



I know I have talked a lot about drinking water in my other posts, but I seriously SWEAR by this method. Last year, when Chris and I were dating long distance, about two weeks before I would see him, I would go OVERLOAD on drinking water throughout the day. I would honestly drink around 8 water bottles a day, and man did my skin look good by the time I would see him!! Drinking a ton of water seriously smoothens and evens the pigment in your face AND it prevents breakouts/ blemishes. Drink 6-8 glasses of water a day to get AMAZING, GLOWING skin.



This is another thing I feel us ladies often forget. Do you ever have those days when you feel like your makeup goes on flawlessly, but some days, your makeup just looks blotchy and does not apply well? If that happens for you, an alarm should be ringing in your head saying “TIME TO WASH THOSE MAKEUP BRUSHES!:)” Washing your makeup brushes once a week will allow your makeup to go on much more smoothy, AND it will prevent you from breaking out! Makeup will store in your brushes until you wash them! You can either wash them with lukewarm water and a gentle soap, or I like using this brush cleaner by MAC.



Green-Smoothie-IngredientsI know I have also mentioned “Diet” a lot in my other posts as well, but it is so crucial! Having a healthy diet will affect how healthy your skin looks! By eating a lot of fruits and vegetables, you will be filling your body with minerals and nutrients you need and because of this, not only will it make your skin glow, it will also help your hair and eyelashes grow, your nails grow, it will boost your metabolism and so much more.


Another HUGE one. Exercising everyday will give you that beautiful, healthy complexion you want! I would especially recommend this to SOON-TO-BE-BRIDES! About 3 months before my wedding, I was really set on having that bridal glow, and so I exercised 4-5 times a week and the results were amazing! I was so happy with my skin the months leading up to my wedding, and especially for my wedding day!o-EXERCISE-facebook
